Young-Suk Grace Kim
Principal Investigator
Dr. Kim is a Professor and Senior Associate Dean in the School of Education at the University of California, Irvine. Her scholarship focuses on language and literacy development and effective instruction for children from diverse backgrounds. As PI of the project, she oversees all research activities.
Shayne Piasta
Co-Principal Investigator
Dr. Piasta is a Professor of Teaching and Learning in the College of Education and Human Ecology (EHE) and a Faculty Associate at the Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy (CCEC) at The Ohio State University. Her expertise includes early literacy development and instruction, teacher literacy knowledge, and educational research design and analysis. As Co-PI of the project, she leads the coding and analysis of teacher instructional practices.
Benjamin Kelcey
Co-Principal Investigator
Dr. Kelcey is a Professor of Quantitative Research Methodology at the University of Cincinnati. His research focuses on developing methods and measures that support the study of educational interventions involving teacher training, teacher knowledge, and instructional practices aimed at improving student outcomes. As Co-PI of the project, he leads the statistical design and analysis.
